Studying in Chicago

The Chicago Bean

The great city of Chicago is:

  • the third largest city in the U.S.
  • an international center for finance, technology
  • energetic, friendly with a rich culture and history.
  • one of the  most beautiful cities in the U.S.

In 2018, Chicago welcomed over 58 million visitors from around the world. Chicago will welcome you, too.

Chicago was definitely the perfect choice, because it’s a big city, has a lot to do, amazing landscapes and is a mix of different cultures, so they are very friendly with the foreigners. The food is really good, especially their special pizza, the deep dish pizza.

The Chicago train and bus system is called Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). The CTA is the second largest public transportation system in the U.S., with rail and bus lines within the City of Chicago and 40 neighboring communities.

UIC has its own convenient stop along the CTA Blue Line train: UIC-Halsted

Chicago is known as the ‘Windy City’ partly because it is located on Lake Michigan, which creates a strong lake breeze.
