This week, the Tutorium is proud to report that presentation proposals submitted by Becky Bonarek, Tutorium Instructor, and Trischa Duke, Tutorium Accelerator Program Chair, have been accepted by the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) for its February 2023 conference in Chicago.
Their presentations include:
- Going Beyond Editing: Scaffolding Developing Writers’ Peer Review Skills with Google Docs (Becky Bonarek & Trischa Duke)
- Embracing a Growth Mindset Toward Plagiarism with Developmental Writers (Trischa Duke)
Becky Bonarek is a Lecturer at the Tutorium. Some of her presentations and publications include, “But I’m Not ESL”: Understanding and Respecting Identities While Addressing the Unique Needs of University Pathway Students (Feb. 23, 2019) and Integrated Skills: Academic Writing With Sources (2021).
Trischa Duke is a Senior Lecturer at the and chair of the Tutorium’s Accelerator Program. She specializes in curriculum and faculty development in intensive English and university pathway programs. Her research focuses on post-secondary English language learner development and retention as well as second-language writing and writing instruction.
