About

I have been teaching English since 2008, mostly in Chicago, but also in South Korea and China where I lived for several years. My students' diverse backgrounds, experiences, and opinions are forever inspiring.

My passion is dance, music, and writing. I have researched and written about hip-hop culture both academically and popularly. My latest dance form is Brazilian samba, which I was able to showcase during Rio de Janeiro Carnival in 2016.
