About

I’ve been an ESL Language and Communication Trainer/Coach for over 22 years in both academic and business contexts. I’m typically hired to help learners improve their English pronunciation skills AND improve their communication skills (e.g., public speaking, message delivery, and interview preparation). I also provide language development support to help learners improve their fluency, vocabulary, and listening skills.

I enjoy the process of (1) learning about each learner’s short and long-term goals and (2) creating a program that is geared around real-life communication.

Prior to launching my independent small business, I taught in the Intensive English Program, English for International Professionals Program, and the International Teaching Assistants Program at UIC for over 12 years.

Prior to moving to Chicago, I taught English as a Foreign Language in Prague, Czech Republic, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
