About
I am originally from Michigan, but I have lived in Chicago since 2007. I enjoy reading, running, hiking, traveling, eating, learning languages, and spending time with family. I have traveled to nearly 20 countries and my bucket list of adventures just keeps growing!
Professionally I am an ESL/EFL teacher and teacher trainer, and I have over 10 years of experience related to teaching English as a second/foreign language. I received a bachelor’s degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics in 2010 and a master's degree in Applied Linguistics/TESOL in 2011. My experience includes teaching general and academic English in Chicago, Kurdistan, and Thailand. From 2017-2018, I prepared and facilitated teacher training workshops for English teachers throughout Thailand as an English Language Fellow. Since 2018, I have continued facilitating TESOL/TEFL teacher training courses online.
