I’m currently re-reading Stephen King’s Night Shift, a collection of scary stories that was one of my favorite books when I was a teenager.
I am reading the novel, My Cat Yugoslavia, by Pajtim Statovici. Yes, I’m reading in English – even though it’s a Finnish novel.
I am reading Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro.
I belong to a book club, and we meet once a month to discuss a book that we all want to read. This book is a futuristic story about an artificial friend, or AF, who was bought by a young girl’s parents to help their daughter because she is ill.
Currently, I’m reading a sci-fi/fantasy book called Requiem Moon by C.T. Rwizi, a debuting South African (although he’s from Zimbabwe) author.
The book is fascinating because it uses many aspects from Sub-Saharan cultures and features mythological African landscape. I like long books and I’m almost never discouraged by the book’s size (this one is over 500 pages long)!
I’m currently reading Pachinko, by Min Jin Lee. It’s an interesting historical fiction novel about four generations of a Korean family living during Japanese occupation. It’s also a drama on Apple TV.
I’m reading Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty, one of my favorite contemporary authors.
