The Tutorium is proud to announce that three of its own, Becky Bonarek, Trischa Duke and Steph Mielcarek, will be presenting in the TESOL 2023 International Convention & English Language Expo.
Bonarek, Duke and Mielcarek will be presenting Observations on Authoring OER Textbooks: Seizing Opportunities and Avoiding Obstacles based on their experiences developing an Open Education Resources textbook, from applying for grant funding to publishing, piloting, and evaluating the textbook.
In addition, Bonarek and Duke will be presenting Scaffolding Independent Think-Aloud Activities For Struggling College-Level Readers, an approach they are currently using in UIC’s ELSI 045 Reading for Academic Purposes course.
TESOL is one of the largest international professional organizations for teachers of English as a second or foreign language. Bonarek, Duke and Mielcarek will present at the TESOL Convention March, 2023, in Portland, Oregon.
