Come to The Arts at TIE

The Tutorium Intensive English Program Level 4 Listening and Speaking classes invite you to an evening of talent, culture, and art at the Tutorium’s first ever The Arts at TIE event!

November 17, after your Listening and Speaking classes, come cheer on your classmates (and some instructors) as they share their music, art, dance, and other talents!

When: November 17, 2022, 3:00 PM
Where: James Stukel Tower (JST) Event Space
Who: All Tutorium students and staff are invited to attend!

There are two parts of the event

1.Display of visual art (photography, painting, sculptures, or other visual art). This will be in the event space to look at before and after the performances.

2.A show of performances for other types of art (music, dancing, acting, and more)

How to perform, share or display your art at this event

Do you have an artistic skill that you want to show your friends and teachers at TIE? Can you play the guitar? Piano? Can you dance? Can you paint? YOU have a chance to show your music, art, dance, or other talents.  Sign up here. (If you already told Anna that you want to perform, please still complete this survey, so we have an accurate count of how many people want to perform.)

Requirements:

If you want to show your art in Part I:

  • You must have a way to display your art in the space (easels or tape that doesn’t hurt the walls).

If you want to perform in Part II:

  • Your performance must be shorter than 4 minutes
  • Your performance cannot be politically or religiously exclusive (saying something bad against someone else’s people group or country)
  • We must limit the number of performers because of time, so we will decide who gets to perform by whoever does the survey first. Don’t wait! Some people have already signed up! We will let you know if you have been accepted to perform or display your artwork as soon as possible.
